Facebook launched a pretty fantastic new feature today called “Lexicon” that allows users to generate data about the usage of certain words on people’s walls.
Thus far, I’ve determined via thorough statistical analysis

Ringo is the least favorite Beatle
Tumblr isn’t a very popular word
Super Tuesday is nothing compared to the Super Bowl
Nobody can agree on how to spell Hannukah, Chanukah, Hanukah
Never, Gonna, Give, You, Up
As an advocate of electronic privacy, I have to say that Facebook does an excellent job explaining their policy regarding this data. In fact, it’s almost to the detriment of the product because you don’t get much info on the y-axis. It also appears that phrases must hit a certain threshold to be charted, which is another good privacy protection. Good stuff, Facebook.
